Disaster Management Plan Document - Cheriyamundam Grama Panchayat
This is the Disaster Management Plan for the year 2026-27 of Cheriamundam Grama Panchayat, located in Tanur Block and Tirur Taluk of Malappuram district. Due to the rising water levels of the Tirur-Ponnani River, flooding is anticipated in 10 wards of the panchayat, and there is a potential landslide risk in wards 5 and 16. Additionally, drought mitigation measures, including delivering drinking water via tankers during the summer months from March to May, along with a Steering Committee and Emergency Response Team (ERT), have been set up to handle disaster emergency situations.
