IC 100 Challenge
IC 100 Challenge - I Care • I Clean • I Commit
As part of the State Government's 100-day action plan, "Nirmalam - New Era Clean Kerala" is a public-participatory waste management campaign organized under the leadership of the Local Self Government Department. As part of this initiative, the IC 100 Challenge is being implemented as a 100-day people's mission.
Rather than limiting cleaning activities to a single-day event, this initiative aims to identify and clean severe Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) and maintain them waste-free continuously for 100 days.
"Identify with Care": Identifying Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) or unsanitary public spaces across all wards in the panchayat and documenting their current status.
"Clean Together": Executing comprehensive cleaning with the participation of elected representatives, Haritha Karma Sena, residents' associations, and the general public.
"Maintain Continuously": Ensuring 100-day cleanliness of the area by installing signboards, establishing CCTV camera surveillance, and ensuring regular services from Haritha Karma Sena.
Public Participation in Sanitation Drive:
- Elected Representatives
- Haritha Karma Sena
- Kudumbashree Collectives
- Residents' Associations
- Voluntary Organizations
- Youth & Student Collectives
- Merchant/Traders Associations
- General Public
Best model initiatives that successfully complete the 100-day campaign and maintain areas permanently waste-free will be honored with awards at the Ward, Local Body, District, and State levels in January 2027.
Core Campaign Message:
I CARE - My concern for my surroundings
I CLEAN - I actively participate in cleaning
I COMMIT - I pledge to maintain cleanliness continuously
