Cheriyamundam: As part of the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) - VB-GRAM(G) scheme, a special Grama Sabha meeting was organized in Cheriyamundam Grama Panchayat on October 2 to prepare the Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan (VGPP).

Cheriyamundam: As part of the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) - VB-GRAM(G) scheme, a special Grama Sabha meeting was organized in Cheriyamundam Grama Panchayat on October 2 to prepare the Viksit Gram Panchayat Plan (VGPP).
The Grama Sabha, convened on Gandhi Jayanti, held detailed discussions regarding the scheme's objectives and future activities. 'Yuktdhara' portal records detailing the existing assets of the Panchayat and 'E-Jal' water budget recommendations were presented during the meeting.
125 Days Guaranteed Employment
The designated official informed the Grama Sabha that instead of the earlier 100 days, every rural household is now legally guaranteed 125 days of wage employment per financial year.
375 Permissible Works
The scheme includes 375 types of developmental works that can be selected according to the needs and priorities of the village.
Wages and Unemployment Allowance
Provisions exist for an unemployment allowance if employment is not provided within 15 days of applying, as well as compensation for delayed wage payments. Wages will be disbursed within 7 to 15 days.
Participatory Planning (PRA)
The meeting also finalized the schedule for Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) to identify new works at the ward and Grama Sabha levels.
